As a small network of volunteers, we do not have a shelter facility. You may meet our available animals by attending one of our adoption days in Athens or Atlanta, or by calling Piedmont Animal Clinic at (706) 769-4624 to schedule a visit.

Adoption Process
Complete an Application
The adoption process starts with completion of an adoption application. If you have already found an animal on our site and are interested in adopting, we advise obtaining, completing, and faxing an adoption application to us prior to your adoption-day visit. The application may be sent to Piedmont Animal Clinic, fax number (706) 769-1966.
Meet and Greet
One of our adoption counselors will review your completed adoption application and conduct an interview. We will make arrangements for you to meet the cat you are interested in at one of our adoption days or by appointment.
Trial Period and Adoption Fees
If your application is approved, you will sign a two-week trial period agreement and a preliminary adoption contract. An adoption fee of $125 (cash or check) and microchip registration fee of $14.99 (check or credit card information) will be collected. Final adoption is contingent upon completion of a two-week trial period to ensure a good fit between adopter and adoptee.
More About Adoption Fees . . .
The adoption fee and microchip registration fee are 100% refundable during the two-week trial period. The adoption fee of $125 covers spaying/neutering, feline leukemia and FIV testing, feline distemper vaccinations, rabies vaccination, treatment for intestinal parasites and fleas, heartworm prevention, and microchipping. The microchip registration fee of $14.99 ($9.99 for a second cat) is collected for the purpose of registering the microchip to your name and address.
Final Adoption
At the conclusion of a successful two-week trial, you will sign the final adoption contract and complete the microchip registration form. Adoption and microchip registration fees are non-refundable at this point. Magi-Cat will mail in the microchip registration form and provide veterinary records to you.
